Today I wore a plaid shirt, a black leather jacket, and at black beanie hat. I ended up really liking my outfit so I took some pictures. The lighting of the pictures really seems to fit the dreary, grey skies today.

Pink and Purple Headbands
Here are two more items that were modeled the other day. The pink lace headband is definitely my favorite. I made it with THE softest cashmere yarn. I also love it paired with a black leather jacket. It's the perfect mix of girly and tough.

Pumpkin Chocolate Pretzels
Today I ended up making lots of yummy pumpkin desserts! First I made pumpkin rice crispy treats with magical pumpkin marshmallows. Then I made pumpkin chocolate dipped pretzels and almonds. After that, I made pumpkin almond bark with the left over chocolate I had.

Pretty Knitted Bows
To start off, sorry for the lack of posts lately. I've been in a creative rut the past few weeks. I want to knit but I'm almost completely out of yarn, I want to paint but I don't have the colors I need, I want to bake but I have no one to bake for, and I want to photograph but the lighting is absolutely horrible due to the cloudy, rainy weather. But with my left over yarn, I've been making adorable bows for Christmas ornaments and gift wrapping. Here's how they are looking thus far.

My Past Few Weeks on Instagram
My past few weeks on Instagram have consisted of: pumpkin flavored everything, studying at starbucks, knitting, wearing lots of plaid, preparing my business for the Christmas season, decorating for fall, and painting!

Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal
Now that's it's fall, I have an excuse to make everything pumpkin flavored! Yesterday I created pumpkin pie oatmeal. It turned out delicious so I decided to make it again so I could take pics and share how I made it.
Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal Recipe
1) Make 1 serving of oatmeal (I used oat bran which called for 1 cup of water and 1/3 cup of oat bran)
2) Once your oatmeal reaches the thickness you prefer, stir in 2 spoonfuls of pumpkin puree
3) Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla, 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice
4) Sweeten the oatmeal with either brown sugar, maple syrup, or honey (I used 2 tablespoons of honey)
5) Enjoy! I like to top my oatmeal off with some vanilla yogurt which makes it nice and creamy.
(will make enough for 1 or 2 people)
