Hazelnut Chai Mocha

Most people think mixing tea and coffee would be disastrous. I'm pretty sure this drink proves all the critics wrong. The rich, spicy chai and bitter coffee blend beautifully in this hazelnut chai mocha! If you are lover of coffee AND tea then this is a must-try!

Hazelnut Chai Mocha

1 mug of coffee (about 1 cup)
2 cups of milk
2 T sugar
1 1/2 T cocoa powder
2 teaspoons vanilla
pinch of salt
2 T hazelnut chai tea
whipped cream (homemade or store bought)
hazelnut chocolate the shave on top (optional)

(I used Argo Hazelnut Chai Tea. This tea isn't available online but you can buy other amazing chai teas here: http://mychaidiaries.com )

1) Brew a mug of coffee

2) Heat the coffee and milk in a sauce pan until it steams
(medium heat)

3) Measure out the chai into a tea infuser

 4) Mix in the sugar, cocoa, vanilla, and salt. Stir until these ingredients dissolve.

5) Put the tea infuser (containing the tea) into the sauce pan. Let it steep in the milk for about five minutes. Strain the mocha mixture into cups/mugs.

6) Add whipped cream and shave the chocolate on top

Christmas

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

New Tea Infuser

For Christmas my sister-in-law-to-be got me a TARDIS tea infuser! I've been so excited to use it and decided to photograph it. I made Lemongrass Red Tea and it was delicious!

Cozy Knit Mittens

I just knit a cozy pair of mittens! I knit them with thick, fuzzy yarn on larger needles. I used my fingerless glove patterns and then knit a little extra to make a full mitten.

Doctor Who Fingerless Gloves

I've been wanting to knit these FORVER! I finally had the time to get the yarn I needed and knit them. They are tardis fingerless gloves. I gave them to a friend who's going to England over Christmas so she can wear them there.

Latest Knitting Obsession

I. love. knitting. fingerless. gloves.

They are all I've been knitting lately.

I love that you can do almost any color combination and they look great. I've been using all my scrap yarn while knitting these gloves. I just do a stripe until I run out of yarn and then I use a different color!

Old Hats, New Pictures

Lately I've been slowly replacing my old Etsy pictures with new ones. Since I've gotten my Canon Rebel, my Esty pictures have definitely improved! Here are some hats for sale at my Etsy shop!

Knit Fingerless Gloves

I've finally perfected my fingerless glove pattern. I plan on giving lots of these for Christmas presents! They don't take too long to knit and are very sturdy. If you're interested in the pattern, let me know. I'm considering putting it on Etsy.
