After owning chickens, rabbits, horses, turkeys, and a dog, owning only a fish is a strange transition. I've had a lot of bad luck with fish so I often wake up half expecting Philip to be dead. I've somehow kept him alive for 9 months now, which is a first! Even though he often wakes me up at night with his little bubble/ splashing noises, I love my little Philip dearly. He's the best beta fish a girl could wish for. He's also named after Prince Philip in Sleeping Beauty....which simply makes him that much cooler.
